If until recently it was necessary to identify oneself in order to report an offence and therefore the accused could know who the author of the complaint was, anonymous complaints are now admitted. The result has been immediate; in just two months the Territory’s Defense Agency has received almost half the complaints it received in a whole year. You can (read it here in local newspaper). That is why it is ESSENTIAL that before buying a property you should make sure with an independent lawyer of the seller or his agent, that the property is legal. City councils do not give a license to reform illegal buildings, so the owner of an illegal building can never legally reform it. If you do this without a license, you risk being reported by anyone, now anonymously.
